Mom is Kaila's primary teacher this year, which makes for some interesting conversations about what Kaila learned on Sunday. A few weeks ago, Mom, me and Kaila were driving somewhere and Kaila stated that she doesn't want to live in the fire. You don't want to live in the fire? Well, yeah, living in fire would be bad. Mom then explained that their lesson on Sunday had been about what happens after we die and that people who are bad go to live in a "lake of fire and brimstone". "Yeah, Mom, and I don't want to live in the fire, so I am going to choose the right and be good." Well, that's good.
Mom also said after this that the kids in the class all agreed that they didn't want to live in the fire. Funny what 5-year-olds will come up with.
